Why am I still here thinking about my esteem?

I took my pills and I closed my eyes
Hoping to find the expected rest

With no reason to full my insignificance

As my beats slow down I numb the sadness
In my sorrowful heart until I feel no pain
As my eyelids close I relieve the weight
In my heavy mind ‘til the thoughts leave

As my breathing stops I get closer and closer
To the eternal sleep of consciousness
As darkness fills an immense space
I walk towards the radiant light
